Cove and Maya opened their little store in 1984 in Santa Fe Village, the same spot where it is today. Personal relationships with their designers let them buy direct and sell at affordable prices.

Clothing with a Story
For over 30 years we have worked with Margaret O’Leary and Indigenous Designs. Buying straight from our designers is what lets us sell at affordable prices.
Paper Label and Kokun joined the shop more recently. Both use natural, soft washable yarns, in comfortable and wearable styles you can use all year.

We have carried Margaret O’Leary sweaters and sportswear for over 30 years, buying directly from the designer. Paper Label and Kokun are perfect additions to them.

We also work with local designers, featuring hand knit ponchos, washable rayon dresses and skirts, and heavy linen pants and skirts that you will love to wear.
A Santa Fe Story Since 1984
Maya and Cove met in 1970 on Haight Street in San Francisco and have been together ever since, most of that time working together in the clothing business. They sold on the road at flea markets and swap meets all over the country, going through six engines in an old VW bus, before settling in Santa Fe.
The corporate name of this Mom and Pop business is Blue Cove Inc., which stands for the two owners, Maya Blue and her husband Cove.
